about baynest

We built BayNest because Bay Area housing advice was too vague for the stakes.

Nick and John are Bay Area natives building practical systems for first-time buyers and renters who need more than inspirational advice and generic calculators.

The origin

We have watched friends, coworkers, and ourselves try to make sense of Bay Area housing with scattered notes, lender estimates, Reddit threads, listing alerts, and national advice that does not survive contact with local prices. BayNest is our attempt to turn that chaos into working tools.

What BayNest believes

Tools beat takesA reusable model is more valuable than a paragraph of advice.
Local beats genericBay Area city math, commute anchors, and offer culture deserve their own system.
Clarity beats pressureThe goal is not to push anyone into buying. It is to make tradeoffs visible.

Who this is for

BayNest is for first-time buyers, renters, tech workers with complicated compensation, couples trying to align on a plan, siblings helping each other, and anyone who wants the numbers before the open house gets emotional.

The missionHelp Bay Area households make calmer, better housing decisions by turning local chaos into calculators, systems, and source-backed tradeoff maps.
